Swaddle to sleep sack

When are people transitioning from swaddle to sleep sack and how is it going…? Our LB is now 13 weeks old and has always been an arms free baby so have tried a couple of times to put him into a sleep sack and he’s slept terribly both times we’ve done it. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so what did you end up doing? I know it’s all linked to rolling and safety, but would he be okay in a swaddle with arms out rather than a sleep sack? Thanks in advance x

There are some swaddles with arms out on Amazon but they are 0.5 or 1 tog. Tommee tippee has a swaddle bag that is tighter around the tummy and can be used with arms in or out. This is working quite well on my LO

This is my little boy! He's 13 weeks and the transition was hard. At about 11 weeks he was moving about in the swaddle so we decided to make the move. He is such a wriggly and hands up baby so it took some time as he flails his hands about all the time but he has eventually settled🥰 x

I use the tommee tippee sleep sack thats tighter on the stomach and can be used arms in or out! My LO is 12 weeks and she's been using it for 2 weeks atm and settles well in it now! And its got loads of room for her legs cuz she likes to kick to self soothe and she sleeps with frog legs haha Its not the cheapest on amazon but it works well!!

Thank you all! I’ll do some research x Maybe I need to be a bit more patient with it and accept it might be a difficult few nights for him to get used to it! 😅 x
