Movements

Does anyone else struggle with when to go into triage? I was in last week twice and now I feel like my baby isn’t moving as much as yesterday but she is moving. I’m exhausted from going to triage so much and I don’t know what’s best for my baby.

I think if you have any concerns with reduced movements, it's better to be safe than sorry, calling the triage line for advice is always a good thing and you can take advice from them. Midwives understand how stressful it can be and would much prefer you to go in rather than sit and worry. ❤️

My midwife said to me listen to your gut and really get to grips with your babies routine. I can say with mine she has 2-3 mega active days and then 1-2 quieter but still moving days. I went in for reduced movements last week and all was fine but she was overly still for me. The bottom line is if you’re concerned, ring triage even if just for advice, could you try just kick counting?

@Morgan they’ve said I should monitor it for an hour ❤️

@Emma mine is like this, but because she has super active days I worry so much when she has her quieter days.

Always just go with your gut! I’ve been so many times this pregnancy already! And they’re always so kind and would rather you go than worry. I’ve never been made to feel like it’s too much! Movements give me anxiety too, I never know when the right time to call is (2nd baby + anterior placenta). But just trust your gut, no harm in checking and being wrong! ☺️

You could always try the eating something sugary & drinking something cold and fizzy and lie on your side and just focus on you and baby x

It’s so difficult- I have an anterior placenta so movement has been erratic but for a couple of weeks I could feel baby’s movement loads, for the past 4 days I have had to really concentrate to feel them. I have a 2 year old at home and was tempted to go in today but have noone to have her. So I just ate something sugary, made sure I was well hydrated and lay on my side and counted kicks for 35 mins and there was over 10 so feel reassured he is okay and it’s just that he’s moved behind my placenta so could try that and see how you feel!x
