Change in behaviour

Has anyone else’s little ones behaviour fully switched recently? I’m really struggling with my little boy at the minute, it’s tough. Every single day is a battle from the minute he wakes up (without exaggerating) up until he goes to sleep and then it’s all kicking and screaming. I expect this behaviour around this age, but there’s no nice moments inbetween. Whether it’s slapping, kicking or throwing things at me it doesn’t stop. It doesn’t help that he is behind on some of his development and speech and his understanding is his main ones. So you can’t reason with him. There probably isn’t any advice and just got to get through this stage, but needed somewhere to get it off my chest 😢

My son is behind on speech/understanding etc too. Tbh his behaviour hasn't been any worse recently so can't advise on that part. He thrives on routine and can definitely get frustrated when things aren't going his way/doesn't understand. He'll throw himself on the floor and he's not a small boy 😅 you're not alone and I'm sure you're doing a great job x

Big time. My LG is very verbal but it’s just 24/7 boundaries testing here too. She picked up jigsaw pieces at nursery (after she threw them all down) and said “are you happy now?” to staff 🫣 I don’t even know where she got that phrase from. And biting, hitting, refusing bedtime, making leaving the house nearly impossible unless it’s 2:1 grown ups to her 🤣 It’s a tough phase eh

He’s been such a difficult boy since day 1, and I feel awful for saying that, but when you see others his age he’s is so far apart. I don’t think it’s helping I’m 31 weeks pregnant so I’m probably not as calm and patient as always. But unless my other half is there I can’t control him. He’s normally great when he’s at the grandparents, but my mum has said he’s been awful with her aswell today. Really hoping it passes soon 😢😫
