I preferred just plain ole diapers, haha! But to each their own!! Diapers are just cheaper to buy in bulk and I found them super comfy :)
The boxer style ones are worth it ☺️ I use bio oil on my scar and it looks good but didn’t put anything on it until I was 3 months pp
No name disposable mesh underwear and pads
The Frida disposable pants were a must buy for me! Had 2 c sections and both times they were the comfiest things to wear! Wouldn’t of been without them for the first 2 weeks!
Yes, so worth it! The cheap mesh ones from the hospital gave me a terrible rash.
i loved the frida ones, i had cheap ones as back up and i hated them
@Megan do you think one box (of 5) would be enough or should I get a few boxes? I have some cheap mesh ones too before I realised there was better!
Definitely worth it! I found them so comfy. I used silicone scar patches, after 6 weeks and a scar cream- sorry I can’t remember the name
I personally bought 2 packs and have used them after the bleeding stopped as they are comfortable but not practical or easy to use with pad, for bleeding I used the tena lady high waist underwear and they was amazing!
I got 2 packs of the 8 pack, Frida high waist c section disposable underwear, and that lasted me just about 2 weeks!
I would just get two to be safe. Don’t have to worry about laundry as much with one box. Plus there’s always bleeding, etc so you may need multiple ones per day. Or get a pack of high waisted cotton panties if you want to get one pack of Frida. I haven’t gone back to low waisted. 😆 their silicone patches really help as well for the incision.
Thank you! I’ll buy another box to be on the safe side. @Charlotte I’ll defo buy a box of tena lady too as they sound comfy and practical too!
Eight months on and I’m still wearing my Babygo pants. They are quite expensive, but I’ve definitely got the wear out of them.
I loved the Frida mama disposable boy short. Just use with a regular pad for PP. they are comfy and don’t stretch out to get saggy so I feel secure. I already got them again in prep for my second coming soon

I lived in disposinle adult nappies the first two weeks. Honestly the best thing ever! So comfortable!
I loved the frida mum knickers it felt like they supported my belly a lot which was nice
Boots disposable knickers Pillow for car ride home Very high knickers And elastic pj or a nightie I did have some adult nappy boots own
I had an emergency c-section so was not at all prepared! The Frida disposable underwear felt so safe and comfortable for me. I kept buying more and washed then reused them if I could.
@Emily I was actually looking at them online thinking can they not be reused just more than once 🤣 I’ll try if I can!
I used Depends disposable high waisted underwear for the first 6 weeks post partum. They were absorbent enough that I never needed to add any additional pads to them, and I bled a lot! Definitely using those again the second time around, plus they're way cheaper than most of the other brand names.
I loved the Frida mom boxers! Immediately after c-section I used the Always adult diapers but then switched to the Frida mom underwear and pad when my bleeding slowed
100% worth the money!! X
1) Frida disposables: no. The bulk of my bleeding was the first 48 hours at which point I used the hospital products. They also sent me home with extra. I have both the Frida unopened and a supply of hospital. Tbh they are a waste of money. 2) scar oil: bio oil is great. I used it 15+ years ago on other scars. It’s not necessary though. And no one but you and a partner will ever see the scar anyway so I found it more important to massage with any lotion or oil to reduce the layers of scar tissue not necessarily the outer scar, at which point the oil/cream is just a lubricant. I wouldn’t go out of your way for bio oil because it’s super expensive To be honest, I didnt “need” anything high waisted because the c section scar is 95/100 times going to be so low anything would cover it. Just be mindful belly takes time to reduce, so underwear you wore in pregnancy will work great the first couple of weeks Just my two cents!
Definitely worth it! I found them really comfortable. I didn't use anything on my c section scar but I have used bio oil on other scars in the past and it definitely helped on those ones 😊
