No matter where you go on holiday, you should keep to the routine. If you shift it on holiday it will just make it difficult to go back to routine once home again
Hi Megan, I am also going to an all inclusive in Majorca next month and super excited! I think it’s a great age as they get to try lots of new foods etc. With my older son I kept some routine around naps but flexed it in the evenings etc as long as he was happy. In my experience it takes a week - 2 weeks once home to restore order on the routine front so I’d just go with the flow and enjoy it! ❤️
I only went to Butlin’s but I shared my food with her.. not sure us that’s an option for you? She kind of kept in her own routine by herself but it was school holidays anyway so we were going to bed a bit later as it was! X
We went to Mallorca a couple of weeks back and it was great! My little one naps in the carrier or the car seat on the go so just did this, I took purées I made for the first two days (took them out the freezer pre flight and put them in the fridge when I got there) but largely she just had a bit of what we were having (if no salt) and lots of fruit and veg I bought out there for her meals. Was so good, they are so tired from the day they sleep super well at night, she continued going to bed 7/8 at night and was great! Super easy age :) have fun!! Oh and take a snooze shade!
Just got back from fuerteventura with my 9 month old and he was amazing! We didnt stick to any routine as wanted to enjoy our holiday but he would fall asleep around 8/9ish in his pram then would just need his usual bottle before bed then slept in his travel cot fine, the first 2 nights were very rough with him getting used to the travel cot & teething & having a growth spurt but after the 2nd night he was an angel, food wise i took yoghurts to have one pouch a day, then took dinner pouches but he also picked from our plates, he seemed to drink more milk because of the heat so bear that in mind when packing formula becauae we didnt and luckily just had enough, i think this age is perfect and he seems to have learnt so much from being around so mamy different people, you’ll have an amazing time!!
Can I jump on this and ask if people kept babies in uk time or not? I’m going to Greece which is 2 hours ahead and not sure whether to try and stick to UK time x
@Shannice when I went to Paris I did Paris time and then when we got back it only took one night to get her back into her normal UK time x
@Shannice same we fly out next week to Corfu and this convo is so helpful I wasn’t sure about timing either x
Following as we're going to an all Inclusive in majorca next week! Feeling a little anxious but excited too!
Thanks so much for all the tips! Feeling slight less anxious now 🤣
