Heyooo I’m a medic, and my 2 yo boy knocks into things all the time head first or falls off of things. I’d honestly say, trust your training. When a Peds patient comes in with signs of concussion, what’s evaluated first? Go through that list and see if it’s applicable. I’ve had scary scary peds calls before, and I absolutely get where you’re coming from. AND you’re also a nurse. Trust your training and trust your mama instincts. Boys are naturally rough and tumble types.
my son also just turned 2 this month and few days after his birthday he fell off the stairs at home cause stairs gates are no longer stopping him and he got a big egg bump on his forehead, luckily it disappeared on its own the following 2 days
Two busted lips in 6 weeks. My 2 year old girl runs in to everything face first.
My daughter never worried me as much as my son does. That boy has been bumping his head for as long as he could pull himself up. 🙈 I watch for signs of concussion and make sure he's ok each time, but boy does that boy monkey around!
My husband and I joke that our son has a permanent forehead bruise because he really does bump his head weekly it seems like. They’re top heavy 🤷🏼♀️
