Period

I gave birth 13 weeks ago and I feel like my period is never coming back. I haven’t gone on birth control because it makes me so depressed so we use the pull and pray method lol I take a test every other week to make sure everything is fine but I use to like being able to track my ovulation and know my body more but now I have no idea what’s going on. I do breastfeed and pump. Any moms who have bf and pumped before know when they got their period after birth?

For some people it doesn’t come back until after you stop breastfeeding. I haven’t gotten mine yet and baby is 15 weeks

Hi there something similar happens to me I gave birth 3 months ago but my period hasn't arrived since I found out I was pregnant I hear that period delayed when you breastfed but not sure how accurate it is that

You can get your period back at any time between now and when you stop breastfeeding and pumping. With my first I think I got mine back somewhere around 6-9 months postpartum. I unfortunately have spotting due to getting an IUD implanted but I'll take that over an unplanned pregnancy any day - I haven't had a regular period yet though.

Breastfeeding does suppress ovulation, it is just variable for each woman and even after each pregnancy so there's no telling when exactly it will return.

I have not breast-fed at all my baby has been exclusively bottle fed since we had him almost 4 months ago and I have not got my period back

I exclusively breastfeed every 3 hours and pump in addition and got my period back 6 weeks PP. my OB said that every women is different and that you cannot predict when it comes back.

I am a first time mom, exclusively pump (not my choice wish i was able to naturally feed) i am 13 weeks tomorrow i was honestly bleeding so much from birth until the last week/week and a half and i started my first period this week. Everyone is different

So I do formula feeding and had her in January. Got my period 4 weeks later but haven’t gotten it since. I heard it could be super irregular!

I’ve had 2 periods (14 weeks pp) since I had my baby but they’re not even close to being regular. Now I’m 4 days late for my next one but I think I’m just skipping a period this time. Breastfeeding can do some weird stuff to your body. Just know that you can ovulate while breastfeeding even if you haven’t had a period. I do natural family planning so I take ovulation tests at home to track when I’m ovulating. Some people don’t get a period until after they quit nursing, some get them back regularly and some people are like me where it takes a few periods to even out and become consistent again.
