"Knock out" bottles rant

I keep seeing mom put down moms for adding cereal or baby food to bottles to get them to sleep. This is bullshit bc 1 a knock-out bottle ARE BOTTLES MADE WITH SLEEPING MEDICATION IN THEM!! A bottle with cereal rice or babyfood isnt a issue bc a baby will not over eat and its like people dont realize this if a baby is eating a whole bottle that poor baby is hungry my son is a 99th percintile at 8 months old so he gets baby food in his bottles or imm gonna blow through hundreds of dollars worth of formula. My supply never came in, so im not able to breastfeed (the case for a lot of women).

It’s safer to feed the cereal separately then the actual formula (unless recommended by a doctor for reflux).

I think giving your child these bottles should be classes as neglect and endangerment. How are you going to give a baby a bottle that they could choke on, just for an extra hour of sleep? It’s crazy to me and really lazy parenting

Na all mothers who do knock out bottles should be shamed to the high havens there's no need for it

Just feed your baby proper nutritional meals. Baby cereal has no proper nutrition

I was on FB reading some of the comments and a few people said they put rice, baby purée AND BABY MOTRIN/ Tylenol in it 😖😖 I was mortified that people are DRUGGING their kids every night just for some damn sleep ! I wish I could call the CPS on them

@Redss exactly its ridiculous your drugging your baby when they just need time with you if they arent on a schedule they wont sleep

Agreed !! 100 percent

@Redss I had a doctor recommend I do this because my daughter was having a hard time sleeping. He said try giving her bynadryll and see if it helps. His theory was maybe she was itchy while she was asleep and it would stop it and make her sleep? But that shits crazy and I couldn’t do it

@Sarah 🫠🫠🫠 I would’ve switched doctors so fast lol they are crazy . Instead of getting to the bottom of why she wasn’t sleeping he took a wild GUESS and went straight to giving her medicine smh

@Redss yup! It was after a car accident and I was saying I thought it was related since her sleep problems increased a lot after wards. I had to fight for a referral to an orthopedic doctor for her
