Pear, peaches, prunes!
We're having the same issue and have had this issue since we started solids. We went to the pediatrician last week and were told to hold off on his iron fortified oatmeal and heavy fiber containing foods and to have him eat a lot of pears, peaches, and prunes for 3-5 days. Well, it didn't work for us, so we're heading back to the pediatrician, but hopefully, it works for your kiddo! Prior to this, his diet consisted of a huge variety of veggies, legumes, and fruits.
Try banana and/or a few sips of water. My LO will always poop after.
My girl is having the same issue. Yes prunes and water. But this might sound weird but when she is straining I sit her up on the toilet and I think being in a squat position with no diaper helps because she poops right away
chia and blueberries helps my baby go lol
Drink prune juice, ever since starting solids i give my baby 2-3oz a day of juice in his bottle
Iron and green (unripe) bananas make constipation worse. You can soak prunes and give the soft fruit or juice that is made to help. Yellow bananas (not brown) are best for constipation because of the soluble fiber.
We are having the same issue. I’ve been giving him prune juice with his meals mixed with some water. It seems to help
