Stopped babbling
My 4 month old suddenly stopped babbling. He was making all sorts of noises for a good period and then suddenly doesn’t as much these days, only very little. I worry because he’s too silent sometimes! Is this a phase?

i think so! my boy quietened around 5 months for a few weeks but now he back babbling again at 6 months!
Mine did this and didn’t start back until 10-11 months. Freaked me out. Now she is 21 months and says full sentences and can almost always repeat what you say to her.
Also a note she was focused on being mobile so only really started babbling and talking after she mastered crawling and began walking
Yes mine did this just before 4 months and I got really worried then last night (a few weeks later) she started again but much louder and we can’t shut her up 🤣 I think she was focussing on rolling so stopped babbling for a bit but is now back to it!

Quite possibly it could be. My little one used to babble loads! He's 5 Months, and now he's stopped, however, he's just started to do a little babble whilst holding something in his mouth but it's a different babble to what he used to do and no longer does.
