Crying when going in cot

Has anybody else been through anything similar? My LO suddenly crying hysterically when being put down in cot?

This has been happening to us. We have changed his cot to a toddler bed today and so far, bedtime went smoothly.

Yes my lil girl is. But we have just got back from holiday where she was in the same room as us and having late nights so I'm not sure if it's just a matter of getting into routine again

We are just over a month into the same situation now. Been letting her sleep in our bed with either me or dad in another room as soooo sooo tired. She will cry and scream at the idea of going into her cot. I've just tried today and managed to get her to sleep in her cot after hyping her up for an hour. I've also given her a pillow and a blanket which seemed to help and some cuddly teddies

We had the same problem and changed to a floor bed. After seeing a sleep consultant she pointed out it might feel strange that they’re trapped. They see the adult beds where they can get in and out off, but then they’re caged away. It’s been a bit of an adjustment, but it also means that if he does wake up for whatever reason, I can get into his bed with him, rather than disturbing my partner x

We had the same problem a while back when he got separation anxiety from me being in hospital (back injury) and hated being trapped in any way, including play pen. Changed him to toddler bed (convertible cot) and he has been happy again for a while because he could freely come and check on us and then back to his big boy bed. We still have some problems with separation anxiety and needing to co-sleep when he is ill. But for the most part cuddles to sleep and then he is fine until early morning and then I will get a wriggly 3am-ish hot water bottle haha.
