Stroller Time Limits - Nanny

How long would you limit your 6-month baby to a stroller ride / carseat in stroller? My nanny took my son on a 3-hour walk today. She said they got out once for a bottle but that seems entirely too long and it’s warm here. I’m debating what to limit it too and will have to let her go if she won’t adjust it.

I think two hrs its fine

Personally, this wouldn't have bothered me. The general rule is 2 hours and then 10-30 minutes out, then can go back in. With a 3 hour walk and time out for the bottle, it sounds like she was within this.

Yeah I think little breaks are good but it's just like driving in the car like 2-3 hours max and just making sure the temp is ok

Maybe a stroller fan could help as well with some peace of mind. I don’t believe nanny did anything bad. 2 hrs max is what is recommended and sounds reasonable if she took baby out for a bottle. The fresh air and vitamin D serves all of us well. We have to remember we’re the only mom lol and we think and see things much differently than anybody else caring for our babies.

Thanks for the input everyone!

I think I was probably overly worried but my baby was so sweaty afterwards and wouldn’t go down for his next nap. I asked her to shorten them slightly so it doesn’t cut into his next nap at least.

She didn’t get out to play or sit on the grass at a park? What about a stroller fan

@Brooke no, she said they walked nearly 3 miles. They got out for a bottle (being held). I’m going to add a stroller fan, and give her a blanket so they can get out too. But I’m not super confident they will get out so will be asking for a shorter walk time. We only need the nanny for another 2 months so I rather not have to find someone else.

@Hanah N. Totally get it. I have a nanny too and then I’ll be off for the summer. I’m close to a park before the nanny we walked to a park put a blanket down and played then walked backed.
