Mine golfs so I buy him golf gear or a gc that works universally for golf courses to cover his fee for a game or top golf GC haha

Honestly, I would wait to see how your partner handles Mother’s Day which is on May 11th. You’re about to be deep in the newborn trenches, going through postpartum, and adjusting to your new body. When my husband and I were expecting our first, I wrote him a heartfelt card and decorated it with our baby’s footprints.

My boyfriend’s grandpa is still alive, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a portrait made of all 4 generations of men

I was shopping and saw this Father’s theme children’s book (side note: they’re cheaper than mom theme books!).. at that moment I realized, it’s not very often I see father oriented books. So I grabbed it. This was back in January. 😆😅 I don’t know everything we will gift him, the book will be one of the gifts! 😅

@Courtney I love that idea!!!

@Jorgie-Anne I agree to an extent. I would add, don’t let your gift be dependent on his behavior. Base it on your personality and behavior towards gifting. Gifting based on behavior tends to create bad habits. Soon you’ll find he either behaves well around these dates, just to get a good gift. Or he’s truly a great person all around. Wishing for the later!

@Liz You’re absolutely right, gifting should not be entirely be based on one’s behavior. But that’s not really the direction I was going with it. My advice is more so stemming from my experience as neurodivergent mom, expecting her third. My due date is on May 8th, and the last thing on my mind right now is Father’s Day. I have a habit of hyper-fixating on special occasions and usually spend a lot of time handcrafting or selecting customizable gifts that are specifically tailored to my partner or children. I generally use the wait and see method because no one can foresee how postpartum will affect them and I generally try to avoid overwhelming myself or unnecessarily adding to my mental load. I hope my explanation gives a little more clarity. 🫂💛

it ain’t even mother’s day yet😭

@JaeLynn some people (like me) like to plan ahead. I’ve already got Xmas gift ideas. Being prepared helps financially too. Instead of waiting last minute.

Here are a few ideas: https://liketk.it/4BiVh
