I try to model deep breathing with him too but it makes him more upset lol. Some times I just have to sit with him and let him get it out. Once he gets the worst of it out, I can talk to him about it or hold him and rock him a bit.

Girl same...sometimes I'm settled enough myself to help her breathe, distract or comfort and other times I can't. Also looking for more tips.
