Birthday party gifts

My little one (2 year old), has been invited to a party for a child (boy) from nursery. I don't know anything about the child, they will be either turning 3 or 4. The nursery workers obviously can't give me any information about the child. What do I do about a gift? Do I get one? Is it a better Idea to get a gift card maybe Smyths? Don't feel like I can show up empty handed Don't want to get a toy that the boy won't use/play with 🤦

Can't go wrong with a book

My 3 year old got super excited opening all the different presents she got in her party some were pijamas other toys or books, and she knows who gave her what which is special like her friend gave her a blanket and that is "Vihaans blanket" she snuggles it as she says it super sweet! Do you have the number of the parents to ask what the child likes IE. Paw patrol or any other character? Is there a party theme? Equally a gift card is also a great present and is the intention what matters! Hopo your little one has a great time celebrating their friend!

@Nina why didn't I think of a book 🤦😂 so obvious 😂

@Amy I do have a parents number! There doesn't appear to be a theme to the party! The invite is just balloons

I would maybe ask the question but agree with Nina a book is a great present for this age
