Napping (or not napping🤣)

My LO has never been good at napping in her crib and only usually stays asleep on me or in her pram in the day. The last couple days I’ve really tried to put her down in her crib as it’s hard to eat and do odd bits round the house etc with her constantly on me. When putting her down she instantly wakes up after falling asleep on me after a feed but will happily lie there for honestly like 30 minutes babbling and smiling away to herself. It’s the cutest thing ever but makes me feel bad she’s in there alone awake 😿😿I don’t want her to think she’s been abandoned. She usually after will start to cry and I run and get her instantly but I was wondering is she okay in there on her own awake while I have something to eat etc? Sorry probably such a dumb questionšŸ’—

I felt exactly the same way until I saw a quote saying 'don't try to make a happy baby happier'. If she seems content, is fed and with a clean nappy looking around and smiling in her cot, let her be. I started leaving my boy for 15-20 mins while I do laundry or cook something, and he has been absolutely fine.

@Yana she’s so happy and smiley bless her! Thank you - that’s good to hear! 🄰

She’s absolutely fine asking aslong as she’s content to be just left. If she was unhappy she’d let you know 🄰 x

Honestly I would it as a bit of a win and get something to eat. My LO wouldn’t go in his crib at all for the first 3 weeks and we were having to do shifts over night to hold him šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«. Now at 11 weeks, he will sleep in there but only at night and same as yours if I try to put him in there for a nappy change while he’s immediately awake but also cries straight away
