Anyone else just over work? 😂

I’ve got just over 6 weeks to go until I can shut down my laptop and I honestly I am just so ready and done with work. We’ve got an event in two weeks and I just really lack motivation and work ethic, my brain is elsewhere! Anyone else feeling it?

Yes definitely! I have absolutely no motivation with work I'm just like go away 😂😂 Hoping the weeks fly by! 🙌🏻

I’ve still got 12 weeks to go and very much feeling the same! Feel like there’s so much to do and sort before little one gets here haha How soon before due are you going? Can you take annual leave just before your due? I’m due on 12 but only 10 more weeks of work! Scary but exciting!

@Helen so I’m due in 9 weeks (just under) I’m self employed so no annual leave for me but my clients headspace is so different to mine. One said to me the other day “ugh bank holidays are so inconvenient- we’re all doing 6 days worth of work in 4” and I just thought to myself “speak for yourself, I am doing what I need to do and nothing more” 😂 it’s so bad I’m not usually like this!

Yes!!!! Using A/L to finish a month before he’s due, still 8 weeks left, STRUGGLING!! 😂 completely lacking motivation and drive, along with feeling so tired!

12 weeks left at work for me and 13 before baby’s here with a big event in just over two weeks which is keeping me focussed at the moment. It’s something that’s taken so long to get off the ground that when I told my manager I was pregnant, I said it was going to be my sole focus before I go - which she agreed…. So I guess after that I’ll be completely switching off 😅 Anyone else being covered by a temp mat cover? How are we feeling about that? - It’s likely to be one of my direct reports and it’s making me paranoid that she’ll be better than me 😂 someone described it to me as if someone else was sleeping with your partner and having to watch from the outside 🤣

Saaame! 9 weeks until due date, but 6 weeks left at work. I am so done already though! So tired, baby brain has well and truly taken over and my brain is pudding anyway! 🤣 I am also being covered, and paranoid that they’ll end up being better than me, but it is an external contractor that they’re bringing in so at least there’s that!

@Manon @Kate imposter syndrome is so real, I’m in a similar but also different position… I freelance so I’m on a rolling contract and I was brought in by a new MD who has now quit 😬. The founder is getting my predecessor to cover me but working in marketing… no one ever really wants to spend money in that department so wouldn’t be surprised if they just kept her on instead of bringing me back part time and having us both. It’s a rolling contract so they don’t really owe me anything and it’s lasted a year as opposed to 6 months so I really can’t complain.. just cba to find a new job in the new year 😅 either way, if I was in a perm role though I’d be nervous, I think it’s really normal to feel that way.. your temp has nothing on you girls!✨

Ditto! I wish I could go early on maternity leave but need to stay until 37 weeks to save up as much money plus have as little time to go back after baby born (I’m a teacher). But I’m already tired at the idea of work next week and I’ve just had Easter break haha!
