Conceiving after an emegency section

During my emergency section, I was told to wait 12-18 months before giving birth again. I got pregnant when my daughter turned 13 months and had another section a week ago (daughter is 22 months). Had no issues, section went fine 😊

My first was an emergency c section and I got pregnant again pretty much bang on 12 months later. No issues whatsoever but did go for an elective c section with the second child x

I got pregnant again (intentionally) like 10 months after my emergency c-section. No issues with fertility/ got pregnant literally on the first try, and perfectly healthy pregnancy, planned c-section, and baby ❤️

I am wondering the same my first pregnancy was twins so I ended up having a c- section now I have my third baby who is 3 months and my boyfriends wants another but I am scared to get pregnant again and having to get another c section :( I really want to give natural birth.

My doctor told me to wait a year! Pregnant with baby number two now about a year and half later, no issues. We tried for one cycle. 😊

The advice is 12-18 months to heal fully - otherwise if you end up pregnant sooner you’re almost guaranteed a second section. I want to have a VBAC with my next baby if my body allows so I’m going to wait as long as possible to allow myself that chance. If you’re happy to have another section then I believe it’ll be fine, I know people who have fell pregnant sooner but just ended up in a planned section xx

I was told to increase chances of vbac to wait 18-24 months before getting pregnant again so depends what kind of birth you want second time around, for planned section you won't need to wait that long

My midwife said (jokingly) we don't want to see you for at least a year, but it's alright if we do 😄. I got pregnant again 15 months pp

The hospital said I had to wait 2 years?!? Has anyone else been advised this?

@Lauren I read two years online but I think it really depends on your age and health as well as how your c section went! When I asked my doctor directly she said I would have no issues after a year.
