That's great, thank you. I'll buy a double pump and 1 single manual. Depending on the price. Those electric ones are expensive.
@Yomara which manual pump do you recommend? I'm still searching for a good one.
I think the electric pumps are convenient but they don’t seem to empty you! So I’ve also bought the medela manual pump
@Jenny you should be able to get one for free through insurance.
Double mama I felt like it worked the best
@Rae the only one I used was the medela and I was happy with it. Medela come with 21 and 24 flanges. You should measure your nipple and find adapters on your size for comfort. I was 17 in one and 19 in other. A Lactation consultant will have a tool to measure the nipple but Medela in their website also
@Jenny use insurance. They are free through it. Babylist.com can guide you through the process or ask you ob/gyn
I see that insurance cover them. Do I buy it first and then send them the reciept.
@Jenny if you go on the aeroflow website they’ll walk you through the whole process. Basically they’ll get a “prescription” from your OB and then you pay nothing. There are some upgrade options as well but there should be several free ones.
Double!!!! You don't want to be 1hr pumping You can always use only one flange and close the loop for the other one On top of it, get a manual pump, that will be for only one breast, and can use while breastfeeding on the other breast. I found the manual pump to be more efficient. In 10 min, I'd get the same amount as in 30 min with the electric, but my wrist will be destroyed.
