Stuffed animal help..
Ok.. so my son has this stuffed lion that is his best friend. This thing goes all over with him. He’s had it since he was an infant. He sleeps with it, plays with it, takes it all over. It’s his chosen toy.
Now, my MIL got household cleaner on him and decided to throw him in the washing machine and then the dryer without asking 🫠 all this did was create huge mats and things in his mane.
It’s gotten bad recently and my little one keeps getting his fingers stuck and tangled in the knots. Any tips on how it potentially restore (or at least detangle) this thing? It’s his best buddy, but I’ve had to rescue him from hurting his finger more than once overnight, and more during the day.
I don’t want to know what life would look like without this thing, but it’s getting bad 🫠🫠 open to any and all tips and tricks 🫡

Could you get a new one? My son has a blanket he’s had since birth that he loves and I’ve had to get a new one as well cause it got super un soft lol
@Alexus we can’t find it anywhere!! I found one on eBay that’s an obscene amount of money, but otherwise they don’t make it anymore 🫠 it was a baby shower gift that I think someone got at TJ Max or something. We’re considering spending the money to replace it though 😅 He got a “spa day” today and we tried to brush the mane out with a dog brush and some baby conditioner to try and help. He’s slightly better, but the washer really did a number on him 🥺
Try softener and water to loosen it. Otherwise start cutting some pieces so he doesn’t get his fingers caught.

I would suggest you brush it out with a dog brush. Tape off plastic parts, so they don’t get scratched.
