Umbilical cord
I currently have a one week old and yesterday I noticed her umbilical cord was quite red and seemed swollen it also had a smell which is what I noticed first then today it has started bleeding and there was pus coming from it and the smell is even stronger , could this mean it’s infected? And if so who should I ring ?

If you’re still under midwives they’ll be able to check. If not health visitor or triage if there’s any other symptoms like fever etc x

That doesn’t look right. Definitely get it checked. Have you been keeping it clean with water and cotton balls round the edge?

Yes that doesnt look right to me. Ring your health visitor and I'd bathe it with cooled boiled water and let some fresh air to it.
