Breastmilk

Does anybody have any ideas how to increase breastmilk? I pump and i only ever get like 4 ounces at the most which is okay but then after that it’s like two which isn’t enough🙃

I have had a few things but what works best with me is ginger root extract from holland and barrett

Oh i’ve never heard of that thankyou! i’ll look into it

i eat porridge every morning, and drink the milks up tea by hottea mama on amazon x

I think almonds and oats are very good. Also try power pumping atleast once a week. Try to pump every 2 hours and atleast once at night. Also I agree hottea mama is pretty good too. Drink plenty of water if you can.

If the awesome natural suggestions are not working for you, maybe you can try power pumping. It was my least favorite thing to do but it 100% worked. Also, 4oz may be enough for your baby. Some breasts have less storage capacity, but you may be able to produce milk faster or your milk calorie and nutrients content may be high. I exclusively breastfed my baby and she was a chubby one. My milk was pretty creamy, high calorie content and it adjusted to my baby’s needs over time. I had a similar 4oz supply all the time too.

thankyou! i’ll try the milk tea i’ve seen that before xx

yeah, 4oz is enough but when she gets hungry again the next time it’s a smaller amount not enough and i have to just top up with formula 🤷🏽‍♀️i’ll try the power pumping thanks guys 😊xx

I have no idea if it works but I have oat milk as often as I can and drink the milky tea occasionally too. I also used to eat Oreos 🤣

I have tried every single trick in the book! Oats Non alcoholic beer Fenugreek Increased protein Oreo’s Latching baby (just for stimulation as my LG can’t latch properly) Pumping in the night twice due to prolactin being its highest Loads of water Power pumping Special lactation teas And I pump every 3 hours since my 16 week old was 3 days old and I still only get between 1-4 ounces per pump. I’ve been pumping as if I exclusively pump and it’s still no where near enough. It’s drained the life and soul out of me and I am now weaning myself down as I just can not live like this anymore. I really hope you have better luck! 🫶🏽

i’ve never heard of oreos for breastmilk before😂😂 i’m not sure why none of those things are working it’s so stressful isn’t it🤦🏽‍♀️and this happened with my toddler but i always managed to have enough i breastfed her for about a year so idk why this time it’s low sorry it’s not worked out for you too🫠xx
