How long will sleep regression last? Help!!!!!

It’s actually awful, my little boy was sleeping 8-2/3 then until 6 then waking fully at 8am but last few weeks has just got worse and worse. He’s now waking every 1.5 hours all night long and I’m just exhausted. When it gets to 4am it’s then every hour and he’s feeding every time. If I just try settle with a pat he starts crying and I have a five year old so can’t let him cry like that. Give me strength!!!!!! Picture for cuteness (this isn’t where he sleeps at night 😂)

No answers, just solidarity 😭😩

What a cutie though 🥰

We are in exactly the same position (minus having a 5 year old) and have been for 6 weeks now! A few people on here have said that it stopped overnight after about 8 weeks so 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Im currently in the same position! It feels never ending don’t it 😬

I have no answers sadly, 5 weeks deep and still going, also trying not to feed every wake but he goes crazy so always end up feeding! X

@Maddie this is exactly us too! Mine is definitely not hungry every time but it's the only thing he wants for comfort!!

Yup exactly the same here, I also have a 2 year old so always end up feeding the baby back to sleep otherwise she just cries being rocked. She woke the 2 year old up last night 😭

Hey lovely my baby is the same age .. he slept 7-2 and then had his dummy and went back to sleep till 630. Would have a bottle and then have an hour up with me and then a 2 hour morning nap. The last 2 weeks .. bang on the 16 week mark. He woke up about 30 times a night and wanted a bottle . I run my own busniess I was ripping my hair out and crying but I have a 14 year old so he slept thru anything and said can’t belive Harry doesn’t get up and I was like 😮 and I was just absolutely battered. one day someone told me it won’t last forever and can be 2-6 weeks. So I just rode it out. His now 3 weeks in and is improving so much!! He actually slept for the first time last night 8pm till 7am. I feel like a new woman but I was up 3 times 😂 so didn’t get a solid 11 hours. How long has it been?? I know it feels overwhelming right now, but what you’re going through with the 4-month sleep regression is actually a sign that your little one is growing exactly the way they’re supposed to.

At around four months, babies go through a big developmental leap. Their brains are becoming more aware, and their sleep patterns are changing from newborn cycles to more adult-like stages. It’s a huge adjustment for them—and for you. That’s why they might be waking more often, taking shorter naps, or needing more comfort. It’s not because you’re doing anything wrong. In fact, it means you’re doing everything right: you’ve helped your baby grow to this point! Most importantly, this phase doesn’t last forever. It’s tough, but it’s temporary. Your baby will settle into their new sleep rhythms with time. You’re both learning together, and every day you’re getting closer to more peaceful nights again. Trust yourself, and give yourself a lot of grace—you’re a wonderful mom, and your baby is lucky to have you .. you’ve got this ❤️

Also sorry about the essays… I don’t want to now put a dampener on it all but I say this to all my baby moms. Just as we think we have sussed out the baby something else comes up. I know for a fact I’ll probs have a nice two weeks now and he’ll start teething. He already is but isn’t in too much pain with it .. so I’m preparing for that.. but we all know doesn’t matter how much preparing we do .. sleep deprivation is the WORSE.. and although in the middle of the night we think we’re the only ones awake, but we’re not we’re all in this together sending lots of mom love x

We're in the thick of it right now too - last 4/5nights have been so hard! I've got an older daughter & also can't allow the insane crying. We've managed to settle him back in our bed eventually (which was an absolute last resort). It is just a phase, but an extremely difficult one. We're just counting down the days till we begin to go back to normal x
