Speech?

My 16 month old knows around 10 words and has said / used them contextually correct in the past. However for maybe the last month or so it's very rare he says/uses any of the words other than mama/dada. He babbles like crazy and is very vocal but just hasn't said many of the words he knows in a little while. Should I be concerned with this at this stage? I know kids all take yo things different stages and ironically if he hadn't said anything yet I probably wouldn't be concerned but because he's previously used them but now doesn't I'm unsure if this is something I need to raise with his health visitor? He is currently learning to walk starting to take 4/5 steps unaided at the moment so not sure if I should wait until he's got better at that incase he's out speech development on back burner whilst he focuses on that or something. Unsure whether I should be getting concerned over this or not? Anyone else been in same boat? 😊

My 15 month old knows about four words but I'm not worried. It's all normal

Mine says just a few words and is toddling about now. Before he started walking he was waving and saying hiya but he's not done this in a couple of months now. I'm not too concerned personally, am trying to make sure I read to him a few times a day, he loves looking through his books

It's more because he used to say them but now doesn't say them at all but not sure if it's normal for speech to regress a little whilst learning other skills

My daughter knows a lot of words, around 20 mark. Shes very advanced, however sometimes she will say something for example she said a name but has not said it again this was around 4 months ago. I think it’s pretty normal! X

They’re just learning and taking in so many new things each day that little words or skills they’ve learned can slip to the back of their minds whilst they focus on something else! If you’ve noticed developments in other areas, you’ve got no other concerns and LO is still making sounds etc I wouldn’t be worried but you can always speak to your health visitor too if you are xx
