Supplements for mood/irritatibility. My moods are making me hate being a mom

Anything to take for mood or irritatibility ?! Lately I cannot control my mood swings. I think ts worse too cause im constantly freaking tired ALL THE TIME. Ive been taking Semax but it stopped working today. I just feel angry today. Doesn’t help my husband didn’t wake up until 8am so i was with the kids since 6am. Then he disappears to print shit for my toddler to do, which ok fine but then it’s like all of sudden “she needs pencils and colored pencils to draw so now he’s gotta run to target and then grab coffee”. It’s like can’t you just chill for one second and help with the kids anyways i digress lol. But i just need something to not be in a bad mood everyday. I swear I use to think the baby stage was so hard with my daughter but then i had my son and he’s so easy so no it’s actually just my daughter that’s hard. She doesn’t stop talking. Ever. Countless energy. I’m just TIRED. 😩 which doesn’t make sense cause i got 8 hours of sleep but my poor quality is poor so im tired 24/7. I’m on b12 injections granted i didn’t do one this week. I’m on NAD already too. Is there anything else I can take or do?! I’m at a loss. It’s truly making me hate being a mom to be honest and sometimes i wish i could go back to 1 kid or no kids lol.

I take lemon balm, vitamin d3, and magnesium and these seem to help with overall mood and stress

Totally agree with Deena! Lemon balm is amazing! I’m using it during pregnancy. If you’re not pregnant or breastfeeding, ashwagandha is a game changer. St. John’s Wort is another option. And valerian root is super calming, they even used it after WWI for shell shock and PTSD!

I second ashwaganda ! My dad always says the most annoying thing about a kid is usually their super power. And it’s our job to empower it. Super talkative kid? Me too. I just look at her and think you are going to network the hell out of your life and always be in interesting places meeting amazing people. Or if she’s arguing with me, I’ll think this is definitely someone’s lawyer one day and they are getting PAID or get off on a crime they hopefully did not commit. 😅Trying to imagine the scenario in which her “annoying” traits turn into her successes usually helps me reframe. Good luck to you! Also next time tell your husband okay no worries I’ll go grab it and you stay here. Grab the keys and leave before he can! They’re his kids too. He can parent solo while you make a target run.

Hire a babysitter to sit at your house with your kids for four hours while you take a long uninterrupted nap
