Am I over sensitive 🤣

So I started a new job at a coffee shop. Haven't worked in 5 years cause I've got 4 beautiful kids. So new beginnings. Today a customer was so rude to me I had to excuse myself and started to cry in the kitchen. I'm 31 years old and I still cry when people have a got at me 😅. Am I too sensitive? Is there a way to get more confidence so when people talk back to me, I won't get overwhelmed?

No! That’s completely normal. You just got overwhelmed by negative emotions and needed a vent that came via tears. I’m 31 as well and if I get yelled at I cry as a trigger response. Find something to ground yourself in those moments like deep breathing, humming, etc.

Thank you 💗 😊 xx

I don’t cry but I will throw attitude back which results in me getting reported. But I think it’s a common response to that, to cry. Plus you’re just getting back into working and people are super rude for no reason. Just switch positions with someone or take a quick bathroom break.

I'm 44, after having babies all of my big emotions manifest in tears.. there's no stopping them. It's embarrassing 🤣 my favorite is anger.. like I'm trying not to deck you but also my eyes are squirting at you 💁

Thank you 💗 xx

Having children can make you more sensitive! Not only that, but you haven’t worked customer service in a while. It takes some time to grow that emotional shield again. If someone took their anger out on you, just know you are not what they are actually angry about. Those kind of people have so many things in their life that make them feel insecure, inferior, angry and sad.
