1 to do item every day. 1 longterm hobby project to work towards each month. +support from husband to ensure I get some time to myself even if it means a lot shower or mindless scrolling for 30min with kid brain tured off. My longterm hobby projects could be a book, or a puzzle, or recently I painted dollar tree bunnies for easter, or nutcrackers, painting for fun. Something I can get an hour to do every week. I want to try polymer clay. A project that is "mine". Puzzles are good because I can say "I'm doing this for an hour" and it can sit undone for a month somewhere but it's my alone time.

I feel like having a life every day. Come over and let's hang out, or just watch my kids, and I'll go. I've got means and motive, it's more of an opportunity issue...

When my oldest was 12 years old. I felt like I was wasting my life. I entered into the medical industry to help people. I have 5 kids. You have to do stuff for you! Self care is important. Wish I realized that sooner!

Do something for yourself everyday 😀 it will break up that daily routine. It doesn't have to be a big thing

At 4m i wanted myself back again, I stated Pilates and Zumba classes, started going out at night w gfs for drinks and dinners, got my social life back up, did that for a 1yr+ and I stumbled upon free salsa lessons, stopped my Zumba and Pilates and just attended salsa then took up bachata, and since then I feel like I have purpose for myself, I’ve bloomed emotionally and physically, met more friends, and I’ve been 2yrs in dancing, recently passed L2.5 into L3 at my salsa school. Join a class or group or hobby, something you’ve envied other people at being good at, something you wanna learn or something for your health and fitness. Every friend I know has a hobby they go to- photography group, bingo, trivia night, poker, heels class, pole fitness, boxing, yoga, tai kwon do and me, salsa. Choose something for yourself, to give yourself purpose, to have a goal. My other goal is to be able to do the full splits in 2m. Little things like that. Doesn’t have to be big. I get monthly massages

Honestly, being a mom has made me happier than I ever was being an independent career woman with hobbies and a "social life". Now I'm starting to introduce our first to our interests like music and art. I also have a supportive husband who helps me make time for myself. He knows after this baby #2 is born I'm immediately buying a new tattoo gun and he encourages me to do/but things to do art
