That’s a rough age gap and hard to be on the same sleep schedule since 4 month olds need lots of naps still. I have a 17 month old and a 3 year old who are sometimes on the same nap schedule. Just give it time. At 4 months lots of baby’s still don’t sleep through the night.
Yeah, it might be time to sleep train. I started when my baby turned 3 months old.
My girls were 11 months apart, and I kept them on the same feeding/ sleep schedule. When the younger one was sleeping through the night, I put them in the same room, which helped.
Sleep training saved me
The 4 month old start feeding and then changing diaper during the day and diaper change and then feed at night … (puts them right back to sleep! It worked with all of my kids and they are all sleeping through the night (6-8 hours) since 5 months old
We did sleep train our daughter when she was 8 months old. That sleep schedule helped her to sleep 12 hours straight. It might help if you are interested in sleep training.
