Meal ideas

Looking for breakfast and lunch recommendations for my almost 2 year old? I feel like she’s getting bored of what I am offering☹️ Usually do cereal for breakfast as I like to save bread for lunch time!

I feel like a horrible mom..

I just came back from a doctors appointment for my newborn and had my 2.5 year old with me. I ended up crying out of stress and embarrassment because my two year old would not listen and was constantly running away to places he wasn’t and shouldn’t be in. I kept trying to have him play with toys and he would just pl...

Potty training tips?

Hi, my son is exactly 19months 23days old and I have started potty training. I’m not sure how to go about it, when he was around 18months I introduced him to the toilet and his potty training seat. I’ve had my husband let him watch him use the bathroom this was a suggestion from our pediatrician. I also was told ...

In Laws

Genuine question. What are people doing with their in laws that are just making things difficult with regards to everything. Guilt trips, ignoring me, not reaching out, petty petty behaviours. The list could go on. My partner is oblivious and I’m starting to think I’m mad! If it was my family mum or sister I would b...

I went round to visit a nursery w my husband and baby today. We overheard staff saying ‘quickly do the painting and we’ll just say the kids did it’.. they seemed to be having a full on discussion of how they couldn’t be bothered to clean..

The kids up after doing the artwork so will just do it themselves and tell parents kids did it. Me and my husband were in shock and left. We felt the trust wasn’t there and I’m worried as that was recently classed as an ‘outstanding’ nursery. We have decided to pull out of the nursery search and just in genuine shock !

3 year old not potty trained

Anyone else's 3 year old (3 in a few weeks) not potty trained fully or is it just us? He does the odd wee but has only ever done 1 or 2 poos. He doesn't seem fully ready but also I've got a 6 month old so admittedly I've not been focusing solely on potty training. It's so hard to do it all 😂😭 Anyone else?

Fussy with food

I’m at a total loss with my little girl, I absolutely dread mealtimes because I know whatever I cook no matter how much effort I put in my little one just takes one look and refuses. I’m pretty certain she’s surviving on yoghurts and cereal at the moment it’s the only things she will eat. I’ve tried introducing her ...

Airplane-friendly toys for 12 month old?

Posted in another group, but didn’t get responses. Wondering what type of toys I could buy that my kid will be entertained with during a flight. We’re trying to avoid screen time if we can. Thank you!!

My baby isn’t attached to me?

I keep seeing people say that their baby only settles with them and looks for them etc and it’s really hurtful as it’s not true for my baby at all, not in the last few months anyway. When I leave he doesn’t bother that I’ve returned and doesn’t make eye contact with me often but will make direct eye contact with o...

Weaning, no idea where to start!

My baby girl is 5.5 months so wanted to start preparing her for solids. I’m exclusively breastfeeding right now. Any ideas of what I need to get, particular brands to go for/ avoid? Also would I need to pump to add milk to the purées?

Childminder or nursery?

Curious to hear anyone who’s already had children how they’ve managed childcare? We have my LO provisionally booked into nursery 2 days a week come September however she will be in a room with 8 other babies… I don’t know why but this makes me very anxious. It’s also SUPER expensive (private nursery). I’ve been thin...

Do I involve my mum too much? Long post sorry

Me and my mum are close and after seeing a few other posts saying how much they contact their parents, I’m starting to feel like maybe I involve her too much with my life. My mum and I are neighbours and ever since my eldest (21 months old) was a baby she would offer to look after him for a few hours for me to do h...

Selfish husband

Its been such a non stop bickering. We fight every week. I called him selfish asshole in my head yesterday. Basically yesterday I fed the kid, bathed her, changed her soiled diapers all the while when he was browsing the web. I am a work frm home mum and he is currently jobless. Swim nappies

Hi all. My lb is potty trained and having very few accidents. We're going on holiday at the end of May. Do I still put him in swim nappies? He's not done a poo in his pants for weeks/months but I'm not convinced he'll be motivated to get out of the pool if he needs one.
