How do you wear overalls when pregnant?
It’s totally up to you, although we’d suggest going for comfort over style, always.
But the great thing about maternity overalls is their versatility ‒ you can dress them up, go casual, or somewhere in-between.
Whatever works for you, mama!
How do you style maternity dungarees?
Everywhere we look, all we see are celebrities and models showing off their maternity overall outfits, but we thought we’d do something different.
So we asked our Peanut mamas how they style their maternity overalls, so you can see how real moms-to-be wear pregnancy overalls:
- White t-shirt underneath and your comfiest sneakers for a casual, everyday look.
- Striped long-sleeve top with dark flats for a Parisien look.
- Baggy hoody underneath with sneakers for when the weather gets chilly.
- Tank top with maternity short overalls and sandals for the summer.
- Fitted blouse or shirt with the sleeves rolled up and low block heels for a smart-casual look.
- Slim-fitting high-neck sweater with boots for fall fashion.
- Crop top under maternity shortalls with sandals to show off your bump in warmer weather.
How do you turn regular overalls into maternity?
You can easily turn regular overalls into maternity overalls ‒ all you need to do is loosen the straps or buttons at the top.
If they’re already loosened to the max, try looping a hair tie around the button to the fastening for a few extra inches for your bump.
What month do you start wearing maternity clothes?
It depends on your body type, how many babies you’re carrying, and how big your bump is.
As we always say, every pregnancy journey is different!
However, on average, our Peanut mamas say they start wearing maternity clothes at about 5-6 months pregnant.
Is 8 weeks too early for maternity clothes?
Not always.
Some mamas have some bloating in the first trimester, so it’s fine to wear maternity clothes at 8 weeks, if your normal clothes are getting a little snug and uncomfortable.
Ultimately, you know what feels right for you, so if you feel more comfortable in maternity clothes, wear maternity clothes!
How many sizes do you go up during pregnancy?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer here (pun intended).
Some mamas find they don’t put on much weight at all during their pregnancy and don’t change their clothing size once they’ve given birth.
Others might find they go up by 1, 2, 3, or even 4 dress sizes.
It’s all perfectly normal.
But if you are concerned about any weight changes during or after pregnancy (or at any point in your life), have a chat with your doctor.
Can you wear maternity overalls after pregnancy?
Of course you can. If they’re comfortable, wear them!
In fact, you can wear maternity overalls whenever you want ‒ it’s not like you need a license to wear them.
You do you.
How long after birth do you wear maternity clothes?
As long as you want.
Some mamas prefer to stop wearing their maternity clothes after a couple of weeks, but others find them more comfortable for a few months afterward.
If it feels comfortable and you want to wear it, wear it.
Are overalls good for pregnancy?
Our answer is a resounding yes!
They’re versatile, comfy, stylish, and can adapt to your bump.
So if you’re wondering whether maternity overalls are right for you, go for it!
