Baby sleep

When did your toddler say goodbye to pacifiers??

Hi everyone! I have a 2.5 year old son who uses a pacifier during his naps and at night time, they’re definitely his comfort item and he won’t sleep without them (he also likes to have extras in his bed to hold while sleeping). Last night we tried to say goodbye to them, we coloured an Amazon box and put them inside to send to other babies who need them. But at night he was basically up until 3 am crying. I let him sleep with me because I knew he’d be upset, but it felt wrong letting him cry that long when there was nothing else I could do. I ended up giving in and gave him his pacifiers back and he went right to sleep, he was so tired and sad. I’d like to hear some other experiences/ advice you have, anything you think would help! Also wondering if it’s better to wait until he gets a bit older and can understand more, or is it going to be harder the longer we wait? Thank you 😊

Potty training

Potty training

I'm having difficulty potty training. We tried a couple months ago and she pooped on the potty and got a reward. After a couple days of trying she wanted nothing to do with the potty so I put it away. I brought it back out two weeks ago as she tells me when she sometimes has to go to the bathroom but every time I mention potty she screams no. She understands she will get a reward, we have tried songs I have sat with her and held her hand while on the potty. I swear I've tried everything. She holds her pee until I put underwear on her or a diaper. Do you think maybe still too young or she will do it when she's ready

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks ladies

How do I make daycare drop off easier??

Anyone have any tips for making daycare drop off and transitioning into that? My daughter is 2 years old I dropped her off for her first day yesterday and she didn’t even cry she had a good day and when I picked her up she seemed happy. But today at drop off she was completely different she wouldn’t let me go and she was crying so hard. I can’t tell if this is just a normal thing when adjusting or if something might be wrong? I know it’s only been a day but if feel horrible dropping her off like that 😭
