Fertility treatments

Fibroid 5cm

I have been told I have a fibroid on the right side of my uterus but it is not in the cavity. It’s literally on the side of the wall on the outside. Has anyone gone for a transfer with the fibroid being present! My usual period pain have been super painful and I have had 1 failed ivf transfers. I will be going for the 2rd transfer but not sure if I could go ahead or should we remove the fibroid first. Anyone in the similar situation?

Fertility treatments

Myoma

Hi, my sister has myomas in these two places of the uterus, they’re quite larger, over 10 cm (I think largest one from a year ago was 17 cm?). Just wanted to hear any stories of successful pregnancies or treatments you did prior to getting successfully pregnant please? She has a surgery booked to remove all of them (incision through pelvis) and she’s afraid that will cause further infertility

Pregnancy Week by Week: First Trimester

Words of Motivation!

Ladies I didn’t know I had fibroids until I got pregnant. My pregnancy was so hard and painful but my daughter was born in May 2023. I just had my fibroids removed 11 days ago and omggg 1 fibroid weighed 5 lb (the size of a newborn 😩) and was 20 cm. I had 9 other smaller fibroids too. Thats why it felt like I was carrying twins!! 😅 I had a vaginal birth. She wiggled around all those fibroids and came right down 😊 So I say this to say.. if your pregnant with fibroids.. you got this!!! Each day you’re closer to meet your little one and when the doctor puts your baby on your chest, you’ll feel a love like no other! 🩷

Early pregnancy symptoms

Painful fibroids

Hi! I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and I have 2 sizable fibroids… 1 is 9cm and it’s in my cul de sac behind my uterus and another one that’s 6cm at the top of my uterus. I’m currently experiencing my 3rd round of fibroid pain! I first experienced it in the first trimester and then the 2nd time was around 18 weeks and then now. It’s so painful, I can barely sleep…it hurts when I walk! Tylenol does not work at allllll! It’s just continuous pain all day! I try to do heating pads and it doesn’t provide much relief. Guess I’m just looking for some reassurance and see what other mamas have done to help with the pain.

Trying for a baby

Large Fibroid before TTC

Hi ladies! I have a 12cm fibroid on the outside of my uterus in the back, plus multiple fibroids located in the subserosal and intramural tissues. (All outside of the uterus). I don't have any heavy bleeding or much pain, and the large fibroid shows signs of dying. My obgyn just referred me to "infertility specialists" to talk to about how it might impact pregnancy. My bf and I are planning to start TTC this summer.

I understand that fibroids tend to grow during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester, and can be quite painful. I'd really love to hear from you how you dealt with fibroids through your pregnancy and TTC journey. Did you try to shrink your fibroids first? Anyone try taking Lupron or Depoprovera to shrink them? Choose embolisation or a myomectomy?
