I’m a stay at home mom so I’m the only on...

Our baby is arriving in a few weeks. My partner works a 9-5 job and I will be on maternity leave until our baby is 9 months old. Maternity Leave

Is anyone still entitled for 15 or 30 hours free childcare while on Maternity leave? I’m a bit confused about this because on Gov website they said maybe entitled for free childcare. I’m planning to take 6 months maternity leave because that’s the maximum time office can give me.

Does anyone know when you get your mat pay confirmed?

Will this conversation start when I give my MATB1 form in? Or should I get the ball rolling with HR? I have confirmed with HR the start of my mat leave but unsure how to approach the pay topic.

Working

Is there any moms in here that work overnight and go straight to taking care of your baby when you get off in the morning? I’m thinking about getting an overnight job because we need more money but I don’t want to be burnt out and not having enough energy and fully being there for my baby 😔
