Dilation and effacement

I was just checked Thursday I am 38 weeks and was 3cm and 70% effaced

Had my 37 week appointment today. I was a little over one centimeter but they didn't tell me how effaced I am. I know that baby boy is super low though.

Unfortunately it doesn’t really mean anything. You could be 1cm today and go into labor tomorrow or 3cm for weeks. 😅

It wouldn't matter how much your dilated, it all depends if your having constant contractions or not, you could be dilated 3 cm then a week later it could go back down to 1 cm🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m really just curious what other peoples progressions are! I understand the labor process ☺️

First time getting checked was July 13th and I was 3cm dialed and had babygirl July 14th 4:03 am

Got checked two weeks ago 1cm dilated half soft cervix next one was 1 cm fully soft cervixz Iv been having contractions everyday. Late at night mainly and sometimes in the day. Slowly loosing mucus plug. Lost half at my first cervix appointment been seeing it every now and then since come out. Having cramps now and again tons of pressure and very uncomfortable I find out if anything changed Tuesday.

I’m 37 been having contractions since last week still not dilated smh.

Iv had Braxton hicks for weeks now and not even dilated at all as of Friday at my appointment
