Flax and pumpkin seed while pregnant?

I found a pumpkin and flax seed granola at Walmart to put in my yogurt, but then saw a few people saying it isn’t safe. My doctor hasn’t gotten back to me about it so now I’m really nervous that I could have harmed my baby

I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be safe.

I also haven’t heard of either of those foods (pumpkin or flax) being harmful during pregnancy. It would be news to me, but I encourage you to investigate and be sure. Was it, perhaps, a different ingredient that the person was referring to as concerning?

I put flax in literally everything.... so hopefully that's not a thing

The big reason flax can be considered dangerous is it is a laxative so if you don’t drink enough water you and your baby can get dehydrated so as long as you drink water you’re good mama! ( edit: another reason is in large amounts can lead to you and your baby not absorbing proper nutrients

It’s also considered perfectly safe in smaller amounts it’s really only large quantities that cause a concern

What??? All of that is safe. Flax is actually a great source of omega 3s. Enjoy!
