My midwife always asks if I've had any symptoms off a list which includes itchy hands and feet to get checked out xx
its a symptom of cholestasis, worth getting checked out x
Yes this is a sign of ICP. I have it and have to be induced because of it - they should check your bile levels every week
This could be ICP, I had it and was induced at 38 weeks. Midwife will do bloods and if your bile acids are raised you’ll need weekly/ twice weekly bloods and induction usually x
Itchy hands and feet at night is a big give away to cholestaosis. It's important to tell your midwife so it can be monitored with blood tests and medicine... I was diagnosed at 30 weeks, I'm now 34 weeks and 3 days and my bile acid levels are low with no itching at night...
I would definitely recommend mentioning it to the midwife! I know when I complained about itching etc, they ran some liver/bile acid tests. But they came back as normal. Think they check for something called ICP (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.) Hopefully all goes okay xx
