I had a moses for rooms I needed to move a bed to. Best thing I did was take.it into the bathroom when I wanted a bath 😅 Otherwise I had a next to me and a cotbed in the nursery. I did also have a rocker napper but that wasn't as portable and not for long sleep
I think they’re a waste of money tbh. Newborns don’t tend to like sleeping in them, they’d rather sleep on you or in a carrier. You could get a nest for when you just need to pop them down for a minute while you drink a cup of tea or something. The purflo one is good and is also safe for them to sleep on.
I also have a Moses basket gifted by family after 3 months just going to get cot bed and set the cot up in our bedroom until he’s big enough for his own bedroom
We have the next to me which converts between by bedside to cot to toddler bed. Won’t be using Moses basket as I have a swaddle carrier so I can still do chores round house whilst she’s sleeping otherwise I heard you could use the cot bed accessory on your pram and have that around the place downstairs :)
We used one downstairs and loved it but our son grew out of it after 6 weeks so switched to the bassinet from the pram and that gave more space and when he was too big for that we swapped to naps are upstairs in the next to me so he knew it was for sleep time etc
Agree that they're not really necessary and not great value unless obviously it's been gifted to you. With my other kids, when downstairs, they would either be in a newborn seat/rocker/bouncer or in a carrier. For this one we have a Nuna Leaf in the living room and a highchair that has a newborn attachment for when we need to plop her down in the kitchen / dining room. Both of these can the be used well beyond 6 months x
I was going to borrow a moses basket but now I'm wondering if to just use the basinet in the pram to save buying a new mattress and save room! Also have a bouncer
I have a sleepyhead but am having a Moses basket too for down stairs. I have a next to me for nighttime and a cot in the nursery x
