My baby won’t drink nutramigen, can I mix it?

My babies on a trial of nutramigen for CMPA and she drank 1 bottle of it on the first day and now won’t even entertain the bottle in her mouth she’ll start drink and then once she’s had about three sips, she just straight refuses. She was originally breastfed for seven weeks so I tried on the breast and she took to it straight away. Can I mix my breastmilk with the nutramigen so she will drink it? Was trying not to give her breastmilk as I’m not completely diary free yet, but sure what to do because she’s not drinking.

Following this as we’ve also got a new prescription of Nutramigen but baby won’t drink more than 2oz, I think because it’s not warm and has to be room temperature 😩

Yes you can mix it with breastmilk and slowly increase the nutramigen and decrease the breastmilk I cant blame baby though as obviously breastmilk is sweet and xmpa milks are bitter and stink 🙈 You can also try adding in alcohol free vanilla drops

We always used vanilla essence when transitioning milks. Think it was 3 drops per bottle for the first 2 days then 2 drops then 1 drop. Sorry was a long time ago so can't remember the exact amounts/days.

Thanks ladies I’ll look into some flavouring drops x
