Parking fee question?

Does anyone know what the prices are to park at the hospital for birth at mk hospital? As the prices are crazy and we don't even know how long we'll be in for :O

I’d be interested to know also! Am booked in for induction so could be there for like 5 days!! 😩

@Jade you can get the weekly ticket and it’s only £20 for a whole week. It’s more convenient than paying £10.60 for 8 to 24h

@Lavinia that’s good to know!! Thank you :)

https://www.mkuh.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/maps-and-car-parking This is on the website, I was at l&d and they reduced the parking for maternity ward stays can’t remember how much by but it did bring it right down I’m sure m&k will be similar . Ask your midwife they will know ☺️

I think if you ask on the ward they might validate your ticket so its free definitely if you stay the night x

They do not validate your tickets or reduce them I’m afraid. But you can pay £21 for the weekly ticket if going to be there more than 1 day. Although website says £20 it cost me £21 to buy one 2 days ago so not sure if it’s gone up or I just got conned out of an extra £1 lol. Would recommend the weekly ticket as means your partner can come and go if need be multiple times also as needed or can stay the whole period without just one payment

@Stephanie do you pay for the weekly ticket on arrival or can you pay it at the end when you’re leaving?

@Katy I always paid when leaving - when you go to validate your parking ticket at the machine don’t put your ticket in just request a weekly ticket - but I’ve always paid for it and left the same day I entered. There is notices up in the windows of the maternity ward saying if you’re staying more than one/two night then it is probably worth purchasing the weekly ticket and I can’t see why it would matter if you did it on arrival or at the end unless you happen to be parked there over a week in which case it might be worth doing it sooner
