Most labours will start within 48 hours of contractions. I had this with my first and ended up being induced but when I look back now I wish I'd waited a bit longer. Remember it's your body and your rights There is only a small risk of infection once your waters have gone. They're very quick to induce but it's totally your decision. You've got this! X
My waters went, went to triage and they wanted me to stay in for a day or so to check there wasn't an infection. I started antibiotics. I went into labour within a few hours though.
@Danielle it's weird isn't it, just waiting for it to start but nothing. With my first waters went and contractions were instant. Mad how every labour is so different. Good luck 🤞🏼 hope little one doesn't keep you waiting too much longer x

@Tara mine was the same. First labour was 9 hours from water breaking to birth. This one is just stubborn 🙈😂 You don’t have to be induced if you don’t want to though you can leave it a bit longer. Hope it goes well for you later!! (And that your little one isn’t as stubborn as mine 🤣) x
@Danielle nice quick labour for first. My first was 7.5 hours from waters breaking to giving birth. He also came at 39 weeks so expected this one to come earlier as well but no he's been a right stubborn little monkey the whole pregnancy tbh x

I’m doing the exact same thing my waters went at 8:10pm last night and have to go in same time tonight , I’m getting no signs 😭

@Tara I'm surprised they didn't want to monitor you for 24hrs in case of infection. It may have been because I was slightly prem though idk :S Yeah was painful but went well. From waters breaking to born in 9 hours. It was a very quick birth, less than 40mins pushing. Because he was early, small and quick he had jaundice for a couple weeks. Wishing you a quick and painless birth! Hopefully it'll start before you need to be induced 🤞
This happened to me! My waters went at 2pm yesterday. Nothing all day. Mild contractions overnight that stopped and now in the hospital. They’ve given me a 6 hr gel which is amping up the contractions though. Positive vibes! You can do it 💪
