I was induced at 41 weeks had the propess pessary inserted at 7:30am, proper contractions started 7pm and I gave birth at 1:15am but needed an episiotomy and forceps delivery, I had an epidural though! So from the start of active labour it was fast!!
I was 39+ 2 but I was 1.5cm going in for induction. I had 1 gel (6hrs) at 9:15am & on examination at 3pm I was 3cm with waters bulging. They moved me to labour ward & burst my waters at 5:30pm & I gave birth to baby girl 6:06pm - however I had an extremely fast delivery which is Apparently common with high blood pressure. Best thing I’d suggest with induction is be as active and mobile as you physically feel able to be. Ball / walking / yoga - it’ll do your body a world of good to get things going X
I was induced on Monday at 41+3 and ended up having a c section yesterday which was a good idea in the end as he came out at 10lb7 😂
An induction can take up to five days (that’s from the NHS) and there’s no way of knowing how long it will take. If you’re at a later gestation it could theoretically be shorter but it doesn’t necessarily mean that will happen.
I was induced at 41+4 weeks with the pessary on the Monday at 5:15am. By 11:20pm on the same Monday I was 5cm dilated and my waters had broken. 1am I was fully dilated and 5:04am Tuesday my daughter was born 😊 overall 14 hours from pessary insert to baby being born and only 4 hours of pushing.
I was induced at 41+2, and including a 48 hour wait for a bed in the CLU (during which we went home), the whole process took 6 days, and ended in a c section, as he wasn’t gonna come out any other way!
I was induced at 40+5 Friday 2pm I was in the delivery suite after 1gel. I had been 1.5cm dilated. I was in delivery suite by 730pm but labour took a further 12hrs. They had said to expect 2 gels and each gel usually means a 6hr wait. I was not asked to take a sample.
