Sleeping through the night

Hi mommies, my LO is 5 months this week and hardly sleeps through the night, we are co-sleeping. How can I train her to sleep through the night or should I be a bit patient? Or do I need to get her a cot/bassinet? Please help

Be patient But also create a bedtime routine Example: my LO is also 5 months he gets in the bath everyday around 730 then gets a 5oz bottle of milk with a little oatmeal in it & is usually sleep by 830pm and sleeps 6-7 hours straight wakes up for a fed and diaper change (20 mins top) then back to sleep until morning

My daughter is 5 months, sleeps in a bassinet by my bed, eats 30 oz during the day (formula fed) and sleeps 10-12 hours a night.

It’s totally normal for a five month old not to sleep through the night. Social media has conditioned mums that there is something wrong with us or our baby if they don’t sleep through from quite early on but it’s completely and utterly normal and expected that a baby would wake in the night. I know it’s hard, my first born didn’t consistently sleep through the night until 17 months but now she’s great. We just rode it out responding to her needs until she was ready. My four month old sleeps terribly right now (hello four month regression 😩) but we’ll do the same for her and she’ll get there when she’s ready.

My 4 1/2 year old still doesn’t sleep through the night but my 9 month old does🤷🏼‍♀️ I haven’t done anything differently.

My LO is 4 months and she sleeps through the night in a bedside bassinet. We used to cosleep and surprisingly she sleeps better now. I think my husband and I moving would disrupt her sleep before.

If you are breast feeding, try feeding to sleep while co-sleeping
