Sleep bag to loose round neck

Sleep bag to loose round neck… what to do? LO sleeps in Tommyee tippee swaddle bags. She’s 11 weeks old and the 0-3 month ones have worked wonders for us but are now to short for her. We noticed she was getting more restless in them at night and waking between sleep cycles in them as a result. It’s like she panics that she is trapped. Yesterday we bought the 3-6 month one an put her down in it and she’s slept for 5.5 hours for the first time (last longest was 4.5 weeks ago). Initially I thought this is great until I’ve tried to get her back to sleep and iv noticed she’s pulling the bag up over her mouth and sucking on the bag. I don’t particularly mind the sucking if that’s her soothing method but I’m paranoid that the bag comes further up in our sleep and covers her nose as well. So much so iv now changed her back to the bag that’s too small. She meets the weight etc for the 3-6 months and it seems fine on her otherwise so I’m wondering if there is something I can do to help stop the bag rising / make the neck smaller?

I read an article about some sleeping bags on the market not meeting safety requirements. One of the issues was that the neck hole was too large. Could you try another brand and if you don’t have the same issue you could return it for being unsafe?

Agree with the above, and have also faced this issue as my baby was born 5 pounds 11. She’s now over 10 pounds and she’s chunking up so it’s not an issue. When she’s awake during the day, test how far the bag would actually come up to give you some reassurance? You can buy sleep bags for tiny babies but they cost a bit more. And the likelihood is she’ll have growth spurt and be ready for the bigger bags in a matter of weeks xx
