Have they taken a swab? I had a similar issue and it’s helpful to know what it’s infected with to know exactly what antibiotics will help treat it. I hope you feel better soon!
nikkisecretx on tiktok mentions she has the same experience. She used a seaweed like tissue then allevyn adhesive dressing. Hope this helps x
Wound nurse here 🙋🏼♀️ The area of redness looks like moisture and skin irritation, it doesn’t visually look infected anymore but it’s worth having regular swabs at your GP. I would clean the area once a day with cooled boiled water, air dry and apply an inadine dressing which you can get on Amazon or even book in with the nurse at your GP and ask for a supply from them + an adhesive dressing over the top. Inadine is antimicrobial and will help to dry the area out. The seaweed dressing (alginate) that someone else mentioned is also good for deeper wounds but doesn’t have the antimicrobial properties and as yours has been infected I’d start with inadine. The nurse at your GP should also have a barrier cream to apply to the area of irritation. Hope this helps x
Inadine dressing absolutely saved my life .
