Refrigerating pump parts
I hate hate hate how often we have to clean pump parts…..if I put them in the fridge, can I go four days without washing them? Wouldn’t it be the same as storing freshly expressed milk in the fridge for four days before needing to bag it?

My LC told me as long as you keep it a zip lock bag ( to prevent contamination from other food) washing once every 24hrs is fine
You can put them in a zip lock and refrigerate them but you still need to wash and sterilise every 24hrs
You can put them in the fridge between pump sessions but you need to wash and sterilise every 24 hours

Our doula said it was totally fine to refrigerate them and not wash them but I only do for the overnight pumps and I wash as much as possible during the day 😊
