The struggle

Is anyone else struggle in their third trimester? I'm 31 weeks and heartburn has set in bad. I have it all day. I wake up every night around 2-3 am, feeling like I'm starving. and I'm having to snack completely all day in between meals just to feel slightly ok.

I had really bad heartburn last night I’m not sure if it’s because I had juice then laid down. And I’m just struggling physically w feeling tired and walking slow. I’m not used to being big at all.

I mean… can you take tums and Pepcid? Both are completely safe during pregnancy … why suffer?

@Lauren I'm going to try that today. I'm not one for taking any medicine but I never knew heartburn was so bad. I didn't have it in my other two pregnancies.

My heartburn/acid reflux has been sooo bad. I don’t remember it being like this with my first! I was taking tums, but it didn’t really help. I tried pepcid yesterday and while the it didn’t help 100%, I did feel much better!

I’m back on zofran and I’m miserable. 😭

I always feel so hungry😭 I'm 31+3 today and feeling huge already, bones hurt when I wake up everyday it's no fun

I ALWAYS get horrible heart burn in the third trimester. This time it’s so hard to predict. The other day I gave into a craving and had a buffalo ranch chicken sandwich… minimal heartburn. Pasta with white sauce killed me all night. Milk helps and so do tums but I have to take them 2-3 times a day :/. This time around (our 4th) I’ve had some serious pelvic pain that makes me walk like a 100 year old woman and I’m so tired all the time. I’m also waking up with pregnancy insomnia between 2 and 4 am daily and pretty much don’t get back to sleep before I have to get up for my older kids to get off to school. Most days if I take it easy I do okay but we are finishing up closing on our new house and will be moving the last weekend of this month.. which means I’ll be setting up a new house/ nesting hard core in October and trying to pack little by little this month … I’m just trying to stay positive and soak in the good parts these last 8 weeks since this is 1000% for sure my last pregnant.

I know a lot of people want to avoid taking medicine as often as possible, but there can be a lot of long term complications/issues from the scar tissue and damage that acid reflux causes. There are safe medications to use for heartburn. My mom has had to have procedures to remove all the scar tissue that built up in her throat from acid reflux during pregnancy because it was actually beginning to restrict her breathing and she would choke. Definitely see what you can change in your diet and lifestyle, but don't hesitate to use medicine if you're suffering.

@Shaely oh no. I didn't know something like that could happen. I'm sorry to hear that. Over the last week I changed my diet but last night was the last straw. Picked up some tums today. I'm gonna try that first to see if I get some relief. Thank you.
