Breastfeeding exhaustion

My little one is 4 weeks old and lately he’s been feeding every 30mins, however after he’s on the nipple for a few minutes he kicks violently and shakes his head side to side trying to latch. Almost a week straight I been up every night till 3-4am as he won’t sleep during the night , I do try to nap during the day but other loved ones are always laying down on the couch or when I go to nap the baby wakes up 5mins later or someone needs me to do something 😞 I am becoming extremely exhausted and contemplating formula. When I pump I don’t get much at all so my husband can’t help feed the baby, I’m also doing so much around the house from cleaning, laundry, taking out the trash. On top of all that I am still recovering from a C-Section, mastitis and blocked ducts that won’t go away 😭😭😭 I don’t know what to do and not sure why he goes through head shaking episodes every feed. Sorry for rant….

I should also add that I was on antibiotics for 7 days but still getting pain and blockages. Tried all the tips from massages, pumping, cold and hot compresses as well

Body armor hydration drink and coconut water helped my supply increase. We had to supplement with formula almost once a day for the first 6 weeks then I was able to exclusively bf. As far as pumping I found the electric pump worked best on a higher setting and the milk flow was better after a hot shower….. it also sounds like you are stressed and exhausted. We had very little help and doing it all while recovering is very hard on your body. I had to learn to find relaxation where I could and let my partner do most the cleaning even when I had the urge to get to it quicker. Sending love and energy Mama!

Also when baby seems frustrated during a feeding try switching boobs or changing positions.
