Christmas Eve/Christmas babies?

Not really sure what my sons first birthday is going to look like or what to plan since it falls on a holiday and some people take vacays, other have specific traditions etc.

Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated 🫶🏽

Do it the weekdend before. He’s 1 they won’t know. Mine turns 1 on the 15th and she’s not getting much for her birthday since Christmas is 10 days later.

I found the theme Winter Onederland on Amazon and I don’t never see that one and since the house is going to be decorated for Christmas why not 🤷🏼‍♀️ lol 😂

My little girls birthday falls on the 26th. Everyone’s gonna be on vacation or with their families. I’m doing her birthday party on January 4th

My son was born on Christmas lol I plan on doing a tradition of having a birthday tree for him so that way he wakes up to his own tree in his room. I’ll have birthday wrapping paper stored away so I don’t ever become one of those parents that combine gifts 🥲

We are just doing it on the eve (his birthday) we don't have to gather family that way 🤭

Down the line when he's older if he wants a party with friends we will likely do a half birthday since so many people are gone in December

birthday tree is such a cute idea! We will totally get a mini one down the line 🥰

I did think about maybe doing it a different day but idk I feel like it’s weird not to celebrate his birthday on his actual birthday… and do that every year? lol why does it make me sad 😭

We are doing it early December. To close to Christmas and everyone has conflicts, if we do it the week after people are partied out from the Holidays. We are doing it early so family can be there. (My side of the family lives in a different state than us.) My little guy turns 1 on Christmas.

You don't know how your kid will be so don't get upset yet

They may love it! They may want another day for just them you never know

I always just had dinner with family as a kid rarely a party so it depends how you grow up/preferences

My sis hates the spotlight and for sure would prefer something lowkey

You can always celebrate day of and do another celebration later if you want a party with others too

Double the birthday fun is a good thing 🤭

My daughter was born on the 18th literally a week before Christmas, we’re having a little party while everyone is in town for thanksgiving!

I actually didn’t think about that, what my kid will prefer in the future. Thank you for that perspective.

My son’s birthday is December 30th. I’m trying to figure out if we should just do the family party on Christmas since everyone is here anyway and then just take him somewhere on his birthday. We are a sober household so we thought about doing it on New Year’s Eve but everyone will probably be drinking so still trying to work it out

C Section Date

I’m 37 weeks and I’m due on 6th April. I’m having an elective c section and haven’t been given my date yet, is anyone else in this situation? X

How many of you had your c sections rescheduled?

So I'm choosing to have a c section this time around because I had an emergency c section after being induced last time. That was less than 2 years ago so I don't think it's a good idea to try again. I'm really nervous it's gonna be rescheduled bcs I have my sister taking time off work to help me out with the baby in the hospital since my husband will have to go home to be with our toddler at night. Also my husband starts his leave on that day so I don't want him to lose any more days. So I'm just wondering how common this is. I'm in the US in NJ

Unwell after sweep

I’ve had a sweep earlier today, lost the mucus plug about a couple hours later. Got period type cramping immediately, I hadn’t even left the midwife appointment yet. I have contractions and permanent back cramping, alongside waves of nausea - which is a combination I’m struggling with as I feel quite unwell. Nowhere near labour, as I’ve had 6 contractions in the span of 3 hours or so. A midwife told me sweeps cause really bad cramping, so I assumed it was normal. But just want to check if there’s anybody out there in a similar boat? Should I be calling the hospital to check if it’s all normal?

39 Week Induction Being Pushed On

Went to my 36 week appointment today and my OB was pushing for a 39 week induction.

I want a natural spontaneous labor but my OB kept pushing for the induction even if I’m low risk and healthy. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Has your life become a living nightmare since becoming a mom?

Sometimes I become conscious of the fact that I just have to wake up tomorrow morning and do this all over again. Every day. And then I wanna bash my head into a brick wall
