Still using formula? 🍼

My little boy has just turned one 🥹🥳 and is still having 3 x 7oz bottles a day (with 3 meals) plus snacks (he’s a hungry boy😂).

Just curious on how many of you are still using formula with your little ones, once they’ve turned 1 and if so how many bottles are you giving them?

We're still on formula 2x bottles (8oz drinks mainly about 6oz sometimes the whole 8 but other times 3oz) one before bed and one when he wakes in the morning and then he doesn't stop eating and drinking water alternative milk as cmpa and a odd juice all through the day. But I figured most babies go onto a follow on formula/milk ... well with a amino acid formula they don't do a follow on so he can still have it in my eyes until he decides he no longer needs it.my boy his choice 😊

We are! My daughter turned 1 on the 8th and at that point we were just starting to wean from 4-3 bottles. She was poorly just before her birthday and didn't want to eat or drink anything, so that helped us drop a bottle. Yesterday we managed to make her mid afternoon bottle just cows milk. She's now on 5oz cows milk with 3oz formula for her morning bottle and 6oz formula and 2oz cows milk for her bedtime bottle. By the end of this week we want her only on cows milk in the morning, maybe drop the cows milk mid afternoon and then be 50/50 with her bedtime bottle. I'm aiming for no formula by the time she's 13 months. We didn't want to rush it because she's a real milk monster and didn't want to go cold turkey with her

We are also! Ours turned one on the 10th and we kept him on formula as he was poorly. He varies between 2 and 3 bottles. Most of the time it's two bottles as he loves his food.

We've just started to do one bottle of cows milk in the morning and then formula in the evening. With water and fresh juice throughout the day.

Our twins turned 1 on the 8th and we stopped using formula about 4 days ago, only because I wanted to use up what we had left 🤣 They're on cows milk now, 3 bottles a day between 5oz and 6 oz. We dropped from 4 to 3 once the formula ran out x

My boy turns 1 on Sunday (27th)
Has the munchkin 360 cup full of warm cows milk with his breakfast & the 6oz of formula before bed.
On Sunday I will just replace the formula before bed with cows milk.

We combi feed and we're keeping the bedtime formula bottle for the time being. I'm switching to stage 3 though, because we're using kendamil and stage 1 is often in short supply

We are too. My LO is 1 on Thursday. Planning to start switching to Oat Milk then. My son has 2-3 bottles in 24 hours depending on if he wakes up during the night or not. Dropping bottles is not something I’m going to rush tbh, to me he is still so little, breastfed babies still have milk so I’m not stressing about if he wants a bit of oat milk before bed you know?

We’re doing half and half at the moment, half milk, half formula, and will have her weened off formula fully in a couple of weeks. Really it’s just to use up our big stash of formula and also not shock her system too much :)

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!

Rapid cool/ hot shot method

Sorry if this sound stupid but how are we doing the hot shot method?
Are we boiling the kettle and letting it cool a little before adding to hot flask? Then with the cool water do you boil the kettle and leave it to cool right down before putting into another flask?
My baby brain is fried trying to work out the easiest way!
