Egg donor experience

Have you tried doing at least 1 egg retrieval to see how it goes? Low AMH does not mean you won’t get any viable eggs <3 I have low AMH and am going to do at least 1 retrieval to see what happens before making donor egg decision

Hey Ashley, I've done 3 rounds already and only managed 4 mature eggs. 1st round ended in a chemical, and the 2nd and 3rd round, the eggs didn't fertilise. I'm dealing with such small numbers... I'm not sure whether a donor will increase my chances.

I have a 1 and 3 year old thanks to our cycle with DE.

Hello, if it helps at all from the other perspective, my wife donated her eggs. We used donor sperm and she was really blessed in the egg department and so she wanted to give back. Her first round she got 32 eggs of which 29 were mature. One of those was implanted into me and I’m pregnant 16 weeks. The rest were donated. I in the other hand, have an AMH of 7 and had 3 rounds and only had 1 viable embryo on day 3. So I think it’s a huge decision but it definitely can have better odds overall.

@ashley best of luck I had low amh and it took 4 cycles but I have my miracle baby. Do you know the underlying cause? I have endo.

@Krystina congratulations! She’s such an angel for donating her eggs. This was very much an option we were looking at but I got lucky on my 4th cycle.

Have you looked into endo? You probably tried icsi? I had to have a lap after my 1st retrieval. I had silent endo. My egg quality was better after lap.

@Daisy I got my lap today and the doctor said she saw the most mild case of endo

@ashley That’s good news but even the most mild case can affect implantation and egg quality. I hope this is the answer for you ♥️ have an easy recovery.

It is very difficult to become an egg donor - only the healthiest women with stellar egg quality make it through. For example my clinic gives me a 98 percent chance of having a live birth using donor eggs!

I have a low amh and got 2 eggs from my retrieval which only 1 fertilised and I now have a beautiful 6 month old baby girl
